Stars, Stripes & Safety

Heat safety awareness

As we celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary, Loadstar is also celebrating the strength and safety of the people who make our work possible every day.

Our company-wide initiative, Stars, Stripes & Safety, focuses on one goal: preventing incidents before they happen. Through heat stress awareness, near-miss reporting and ongoing safety education, we are reinforcing the culture that keeps our teams safe, our operations strong and our customers confident.

OUR GOAL: 250 Near Miss and Hazard Recognition Reports by the End of July

Every report helps identify hazards, prevent injuries, and strengthen our safety culture.  As a show of support to our veterans, Loadstar will also donate $250 in honor of each employee who served in the U.S. military to a military charity of their choosing.

Heat Stress Awareness

Drink water throughout the day, not just when you feel thirsty.

Take Breaks

Use shaded or cooled areas to rest and recover.

Dress for the Conditions

Wear appropriate clothing and PPE designed for hot environments.

Watch Out for Each Other

If a coworker appears overheated or unwell, speak up immediately.

Plan Ahead

Schedule physically demanding work when temperatures are lower whenever possible.
