Baton Rouge, LA –Brian Haymon has been named as a member of Better Louisiana’s Committee of 100 (C100).
Brian is the Founder and CEO of Loadstar Product Handling Services, LLC. “Brian will be a great addition to our membership” which is composed of CEO’s and leaders from across the state. “His leadership in business and education will promote C100’s mission of unlocking Louisiana’s potential through economic development,” said Better Louisiana CEO Adam Knapp. Said Brian, “I am deeply honored to join C100. I look forward to working with Adam and the C100 membership to help our State realize its tremendous potential so that the good people of Louisiana can achieve their dreams in this special place we call home.”
A native of Baton Rouge, Brian received a BA from the University of Texas at Austin and a law degree from LSU. After several years in private practice he returned to Louisiana to join Petroleum Service Corporation (now PSC Group) where he spent 27 years as an owner and later as CEO. Under Brian’s leadership the company grew to 3000 employees at more than 100 sites throughout North America.
In 2021 Brian launched Loadstar which provides product handling and site logistics services to the refining, chemical, and marine industries. Loadstar was recently named Louisiana’s first Certified Evergreen® company, a recognition given to purpose-driven companies committed to excellence and longevity as a privately held business. Loadstar has also been recognized for its safety performance and as a Best Place to Work.
Brian’s volunteer work in education includes serving as Chair of the LSU Honors College Advisory Council, a group he founded in 1999. He is a founding member and former chair of New Schools for Baton Rouge on whose board he currently serves, past chair of the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge, and a past board member of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber, the East Baton Rouge Parish Economic Development Authority (now Build Baton Rouge), and the Capitol Area United Way. He also is a board member of the Louisiana Chemical Association’s political action committee (LAMP).
