Loadstar, a leader in site logistics and product handling services for the refining, chemical and inland marine industries, is pleased to announce that Ben Russell joined the company as Vice President of Plant Operations.

Ben comes to Loadstar after a 15-year career at Dow Chemical. As a mechanical engineer, his last assignment was Director of Site Logistics at the Dow St. Charles facility near New Orleans. While at Dow, Ben held leadership roles in operations, maintenance,and logistics at sites in Louisiana, Texas and Thailand. His career spanned production, reliability, energy systems and environmental programs, as well as global manufacturing initiatives.

In this new role, Ben will lead the company’s plant operations. As a member of the Loadstar executive leadership team, he will also drive safety and operating performance, help shape strategy and play a leading role in the company’s growth and development.

Ben is relocating to Baton Rouge with his wife, Avery, who is also a Dow engineer. They have two young children and are excited to welcome their third child in early November.
